3-Min Creative Writing in Here!

Hi
I am Lihi,
Founder of Creative Express Studio.

You are invited to Find 3-Min for Creative Writing,
let’s do this Here, Together, Now.

What we do here are
Quick & Painless Creative Practices,
To De-Stress & feel connected to well-being.

In a few quick minutes, we will dive into a writing exercise. So get ready for 3 minutes of writing.
go ahead, find a keyboard or a piece of paper and pen, or even your phone — open a new email, write your piece in it, and then address it to me! lihi@creativeexpress.studio
You are very much invited to send it to me when we’re done.

Note: This is a bit long,
you can scroll right down
to the Creative Writing Exercise,
if that serves you best!

Or click on the video and there I will tell you all about this email and the exercise.

Before we go into the exercise,
I will take a few minutes to talk about
some reasons for Finding that 3-Min,
for doing this Creative Writing thing.

So, why? Why should we? How is this helpful?

Because —
Finding the time to write IS
Finding the time to feel confident.
Taking a break from stress or anxious thoughts.

Finding that time for creative writing
means finding the time for allowing yourself
a pleasant space all for you,
even if it’s 5 minutes a day. Or less, as much or as little as you can take — is the right amount for you.

Creative Writing (the way I do it here) is:
a world without right or wrong,
without judgment,
it is a fun and childlike state of mind to be in.

Taking the time to be in this kind of atmosphere,
has us feeling more calm and confident.

Try it and see, how after a quick session of creative writing in this way –
You feel a pleasant shift in your feeling!
(I invite you to email me, Let me know how you experienced it).

You then feel this goodness and confidence
in your everyday decisions,
Experiencing less stress,
And more well-being.

Ok.
So let’s do this.

Here is our Exercise!

Today I will begin by reading you a piece,
shared with me by John, a member of Creative Express Studio.
Thank you for sharing, John.

I will read it to you, and after reading it,
I will ask you to pick 3 words FROM John’s piece
(yes, John, you too, haha),
and use those 3 words as inspiration —
It’s an exploration:
Let’s try to fit these 3 words into 3 short lines,
and see what you can create this way!

Wow, I am curious to see what you wrote, so make sure you email me your pieces at lihi@creativeexpress.studio.

I will be writing along, and this way I can give you an example of how to do this — to make sure you understand this funny game I made up for us.

So, first of all, I am happy and excited to present (drum roll) here is John’s piece!

Grab the microphone
feel the fear.
Close me eyes,
see yours, green.
Hear your voice
as my lyrics soar.
Meeting somewhere,
my song and yours.

Gorgeous!

Here is an example of how to do this exercise:

First, make sure to use words that can give you some juice to work with.
I will choose the words: FEAR, VOICE, LYRICS.
You are welcome to use them too if you find that helpful.

And now I will put them into my own lines,
Without striving to make sense,
and without trying to make it good.

Here is what I came up with:

Fear comes to me every night,
Voices are the reason for it, I hear voices,
They sing lyrics that I hate, and fear is awakened and I can’t sleep.

– The end —
That’s it for today.
