Hi, Lihi here, of Creative Express Studio.

We are here to do 3-Min of Creative Writing together.

Here we are all about Quick & Painless Creative Practices,
and our purpose is to step away from stress & connect to well-being.

In a few minutes, we will dive into a writing exercise.
So get ready for 3 minutes of writing.

go ahead, find a keyboard or a piece of paper and pen,
or even your phone –
open a new email, write your piece in it, and then address it to me at lihi@creativeexpress.studio!
I can’t wait to read it.

Before we go into the exercise,
Let’s have a quick talk about well-being.
because I know what it’s like to feel disconnected from well-being.

One of the things that can disconnect us from well-being is

Comparison.

Comparing ourselves to others.
And even comparing ourselves to alternative versions of ourselves (“I should be…”).

I know what it’s like, and how painful it is —
To measure yourself, your worth, and your ok-ness –
And compare it to someone else’s achievements or functionality, or what have you.
It’s pure pain.

How would you feel about yourself,
your choices
your actions –
if that other person wasn’t in the picture?
Can you feel relief?
Can you see some new possibilities
that were hidden from you before,
when you were busy comparing?

Its one of those things that
everybody goes through.

The reason I am writing emails to you
is to share the experience
of being human,
of giving space for pain,
of finding a way,
of connecting back to well-being with creative writing.

Creative writing is play (the way we do it here).
In play, we can practice:

  • letting go of striving,
  • letting go of the illusion of quality –

Let’s go into our
Exercise

You have permission to write this exercise:

  • without striving to make sense,
  • and without trying to make it good.

  • Set a 3 min timer, and begin writing.
