It happens to all of us. Priorities start to take over our lives. Work, Family, the day to day of simply existing.
Life is busy and the demands on us are high. Yet the desire to write and creative calls us each day. When we keep putting off this time for ourselves, we find ourselves constantly discontent, frustrated, feeling bored and even boring.
And we don’t even recognize it.
We end up taking it out on the people around us causing a rift in relationships and even leading to depression.
Dr. Zorana Ivcevic Pringle Ph.D. says:
“Creativity affects how people relate to themselves, others, and the world.”
READ THAT AGAIN!
When creativity is lacking in your life, then YOU lack the emotional resilience that keeps you thriving. Avoiding creativity means holding back from having the emotional strength available to you.
Science shows creativity is necessary for brain stimulation, relaxation, and restoration. Without it, we repress a part of ourselves. This repression can lead us towards judgment, bitterness, and resentment, impacting relationships, careers, state of mind and lives.
“If you don’t write when you don’t have time for it,
you won’t write when you do have time for it.”
–Katerina Stoykova Klemer, writer & poet
If you now understand that creativity is a necessary and beneficial part of your life, If you want to experience the flow of exploring, expressing meaning and finding clarity, there is no better time than NOW.
Time won’t find you.
You won’t stumble upon extra hours suddenly.
But you know what? You don’t need a lot it.
Ostracizing yourself from the rest of the world, switching careers or dedicating loads of time is not required to make this a part of your life.
There is a simple, easy to follow process giving you the creative habit and joy of writing.
Writing is a wonderful way to tap into creativity. With nothing more than a pen, paper and the ability to write words, you can experience the benefits.
But, consistency, not talent, is the key to success.
In this course, we build on this fundamental truth to make writing a regular part of your life.
One lesson a week followed by small action steps will create a habit that will last a lifetime.
Each week you will have a single lesson with a simple habit-building technique to follow. Accomplish goals in as little as 2 minutes.
Science says we do better when we are watched. The course has built-in accountability to keep you on track to get results.
You will have direct access to me as well as our private facebook group for a space to share, ask and get support on your journey.
Q: I am not a writer.
“When I was young, I thought the only real poets were the ones in books, and the very best poet in the world was T.S. Eliot. But … There are poets who drive Mack trucks deep in the night across this land. I’ve listened to poets in housing projects and jails, shy friends and bruised ex-Ph.D. students finding their way back to their own rich, beautiful, nuanced voices, children in detention writing finally the truth of what they see or what they imagine.“ Pat Schneider, Poet.
Q: I am really busy? Can I really find time to write?
A: “If you don’t write when you don’t have time for it, you won’t write when you do have time for it.” –Katerina Stoykova Klemer, writer & poet.
If you want to learn how to do this (take care of yourself through writing) without having the time, then this is the course for you.
Q: I have no talent?
A: “Talent” is actually a skill that you can choose to learn, so says an article in Psychology Today, so says science.
